August Favorites 2014!

Surprisingly this month I barely any favorites. I do think my lack of favorites is partly due to my traveling. Something new I added in this months favorites is fashion favorites. My last two months have all been beauty products, but because I don't have a ton of beauty favorites I decided to show two of my most loved fashion favorites of August as well. I know I'll probably be trying a bunch of new things as fall rolls around, so hopefully next month I'll have more to share with you.

 1. NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

I actually bought last August and through out the year I haven't used it a ton if I'm to be honest. This month however I decided to give it a try, and try my best to use it. I think this stuff is fantastic. I definitely notice a difference in how long and well my makeup lasts when I use this.
 2. BareTrap Sandals

You can tell by the picture how loved these sandals are. I have worn them almost everyday this month. I honestly think there's been about four days where I haven't worn them. They are super comfortable for walking and just all together the perfect summer sandal.

3. Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in 'Aurora'

This has been my new favorite go to lip gloss this month. I keep it in my purse anytime I'm going anywhere because I know it will touch up great on top of any lip color plus look flawless on it's own.

4. Brandy Melville Layla Hoodie

I'm going start off with the fact that I always take my own photos but I wasn't able to get a picture of this hoodie because I left it at a friend's house so I apologize for that. Basically this is the softest and comfiest light weight hoodie that ever existed. I can't stop wearing this it's an obsession and a problem, but I would definitely recommend this if you're able to get it. It's just super casual to throw on top of any outfit or on it's own with a pair of jeans or leggings, or even shorts.
5. B.Glowing Shimmer Block in 'Just Peachy'

This makes my skin look like I've been touched by an angel. It is completely perfect. It brings so much life to my face. I had no idea a product could do that before this came into my life. I believe this is a UK based brand, but I know Revlon sells a similar product so you could also check that one out.

6. Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

I'm not going to go to in depth into this product because I already did a full review on it (Click Here), but I'll say a couple points about it. I think this is the perfect foundation for me and I'm 100% going to be using it into the school year as my primary foundation. I don't think the way my skin is right now that I will go back to using anything else anytime soon.

7. Maybelline Color Tatto in 'Bad to the Bronze'

Whilst on my trip to Europe I had almost no time to get ready in the morning and I found this saving me the most time. If you're ever in a hurry this is the perfect solution. You just swipe it on your eyelid and you're good to go. It literately takes five seconds and you can't mess it up.

That's all the favorites I have for this month. I don't know how my posting schedule is going to be as I head back to school, but I hope I can get more consistent than what I have right now.

Thank You,
K

British Beauty Haul!

I was recently in London and picked up a few products from the drugstore so I thought I'd share my thoughts on them with you.
I love nail polishes and lately I’ve been in desperate need of some new colors, so naturally when I was in London I had to pick up these Barry M ones since I’d heard so many great things about them. I bought five different colors in two different formulas, the classic and the gelly shine, that will hopefully subdue my nail polish craving. I’ve tried both the aqua and pink and I absolutely love them so I’m excited to try the others.

On the way to London my powder broke in my suitcase, meaning I needed to purchase a new one. I thought the packaging on this looked very sleek and the color matched perfectly on my hand so I thought I’d go ahead and try it. It’s defiantly worth it to get your hands on this. It keeps me matte all day, even in the hot sun. The price was super affordable also giving an added bonus.

I’ve tried both of these lips glosses already so they are all set for a full review. They are stunning. I wish I would’ve picked up more because I adore everything about them. They have a very sweet strawberry scent that while not overpowering  I personally love. They’re super pigmented and look great worn alone or over a lipstick. I bought the colors 'Aurora' and 'Just Peachy' which are both quite natural colors perfect for what I wear on a regular basis.

I wish I could say good things about these, but they're just terrible. When I swatched them on my hand they looked fantastic, super pigmented, matte, and long lasting. They do not apply evenly to the lips, they crack and just look terrible. Don't waste your money on these, there's no other way to say it.

The last product I purchased was this shimmer block from the brand B. I've been wearing this daily for the past two weeks and it makes my cheeks look so flawless and effortless. I apply a cream blush to my cheeks and then dust this over top, which just creates this beautiful glowing finish to the skin and highlights in just the right areas. If you come across this definitely pick it up, you won't regret it.

That's everything I picked up. I hope you learned something from these reviews and found them helpful!

OOTD: Tourism in Paris August 12th, 2014

This is my outfit of the day in Paris! I'm super excited that I'm on holidays in France right now so I thought I would share an outfit I wore touring around the city. These pictures are actual taken on the Eiffel Tower, one of the many places I visited that day. I wanted an outfit that would be comfy, but still fashionable and practical for the weather. There was a bit of a breeze so I opted for a sweater and light scarf perfect for France and the summer.

Dress: Bluenotes (almost identical, cheaper version of the Brandy Melville 'Bethan Dress')
I find this dress really easy and super comfortable to wear out and about. It's a great layering piece and a nice bright color for the summer.
Scarf: Bluenotes
I love this scarf because it's incredibly lightweight so you don't feel the need to take it off when it gets to the hot point of the day.
Nail Polish: 'Candy Apple' by Barry M

Cardigan: American Eagle
This is by far my favorite cardigan. It keeps me warm, but I don't feel overheated. I bought it on clearance last year so you probably can't purchase it, but American Eagle will always have something similar.
Purse: Garage
I love this purse for walking around in a big city because of it's size. I can fit everything I need in it, but I'm going to have to worry about hauling around a big bag or getting something stolen easily.
Shoes: Show Warehouse (Brand: Bare Traps)
Before coming to France I wanted to make sure to purchase good walking shoes for all the walking I would be doing. It's hard to find shoes and are cute and comfortable, but these have worked incredible. They have a cushiony bottom that prevent my feet from getting sore even after walking for a nine hour day.

I hope you found some inspiration from this post. I'll be on holidays another week and a bit, hopefully I'll still be able to make another post or two, but I apologize in advance if I don't.

July Favorites 2014

Another month has gone by, this one particularly bittersweet considering I started off this blog one month ago with my June Favorites and now I'm sharing my July Favorites. That aside I have nine products this month I want to share with you. I mostly have beauty products this month, but I've got a couple skincare items and one haircare product.

1. Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse

I've been using this for a few months now, but it wasn't until I went on vacation and didn't bring this with me that I realized how much I love it. After shower I let my hair towel dry for about ten minutes before applying this. I just squirt about a golf ball size lump of product into my hand and then distribute it throughout my roots. After that I blow dry my roots at the areas I've used the product and it leaves my hair super volumized. I have extremely flat hair and I feel like life is being brought to t when I use this product. (Was that too weird? Oh well.)

2. Covergirl BB Cream in 'Light to Medium'

I have a love hate relationship with this product. It gives absolutely no coverage what so ever. It's a moisturizer that appears to be tinted but is not once you apply it. At this point you may be questioning why is this in your favorites? Because it gives great moisture, and a great base for my powder to even out my skin. If you're looking for coverage in a BB Cream do not go anywhere near this, but if you want a base for a powder foundation or even just a powder then I would recommend this. I used this for the first three weeks of July when I really just wanted the naturalist skin and fresh easy face. Although I've moved on to something else at the moment I know this combo is something I'll come back to.

3. Revlon Nearly Naked Powder in 'Medium/Deep'

I bought this powder when I came back from Mexico, in other words I was very tan and am not that color anymore. That aside it's perfect to even out my skin when I'm not wearing foundation. I've been using this on top of my Covergirl BB Cream, and I really think it's just been a great natural look for my skin. This powder also keeps everything very matte all day so I don't have to worry about looking oily.

4. Simple Soothing Facial Toner

I've been using this morning and night to get rid of any excess dirt or oils on my face after removing my makeup and washing my face. It just gives your skin a smooth feel which is a great base to start your makeup on, or just a great feel to your skin. It has witch hazel which helps with the look of pores, and I've definitely noticed a difference while using this. This retails for I believe $7 and this bottle lasted me December to August so it's no harm on your wallet to pick this one up.

5. Clean & Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer

Keeping on with the skincare kick I've been loving this moisturizer. If you saw my June favorites you'd know last month I was in love with another moisturizer, which I still use time to time, but with that dry skin month I had clearing up I've found myself using something else. This moisturizer is oil free and is going to moisturizer your skin, but your not going to get oily patches anywhere. I use this in the night and wake up with baby bum smooth skin. Because it's so lightweight I can use it under my makeup too and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing any product, although where morning moisturizer is concerned I've mostly been using my Covergirl BB Cream.

6. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

I have fairly large pores and I hate it. I'm super self conscious about it and this product has really helped me. I feel it just smooths it out and blurs my pores very well. It leaves you with very soft skin and acts as a great primer for my foundation. If you're on the market for a drugstore primer you can check this one out. I've used to 'Benefit Porefessional' and I honestly see no difference between them, so go ahead and save yourself the money on this one.

7. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in 'Pink Frosting'
When putting on makeup I never feel complete without blush. I think it brings life to my face so I don't look like a ghost. I've always felt powder blushes don't last long enough, I'll be out for the day and come back to the ghostly face. This however doesn't do that to me. I apply it with my fingers then lightly blend it out with a blush brush before setting it with a tiny bit of powder blush. This is the perfect look that keeps my cheeks flawless all day.

8. Maybelline Line Stiletto in 'Brownish Black'

Don't let the color name fool you, this is no where near 'Brownish Black'. This is a light true brown liner. As I mentioned before, I've been loving a natural fresh faced look so I turned to brown liner. I can't use anything but liquid liner on my top lash line so this was the perfect thing I needed. It defines my eyes and opens them up without making it look like I'm wearing eyeliner. It's so sutle and sweet and I've been absolutely loving it.

9. Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in 'Damsel'

The last product on my favorites list this month is another brown eyeliner. This is a pencil waterproof liner from Stila that I've been using in my waterline. I adore putting eyeliner in my waterline because I fell it gives my eyes the definition they need. I've just been using this on the outer half of my waterline to make my eyes pop without the harshness of a black liner. Out of all the products I've mentioned this is by far the most expensive. I only have it because it came with a palette, but I do think if you want a higher end eyeliner this is a great one to check out.

Thank you so much for reading this, and I hope you discovered some new products you might want to check out.

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation Review

Before buying this foundation I had read several reviews on it. People seem to love or hate this foundation. After using it for about a week I can say I'm one that loves it. In Canada this foundation retails for $44, but I do believe it is cheaper in the US. It comes in nine different shades, giving you a decent choice of colors. It is a light to medium coverage foundation so if you're looking for a high coverage, cover all foundation this one probably isn't for you. That being said it covers everything I need it to, and I don't feel I have to use concealer.

I wear the shade "I'm All The Rage" Beige which is honestly the best color match I've ever found in any foundation, which might contribute to why I like it so much. This foundation also has an SPF of 25 which makes my life easier. I'm one to never take the time to put SPF on in the morning, so if it's built into my makeup it's going to be a whole lot easier. When reading other reviews I found there was a lot of people complaining about it looking yellow or orange on their skin. That is definitely true, however that's why it's so perfect for me! For someone with a warm yellow or orange undertone, like myself, it can be nearly impossible to find a foundation that suits me right. If you have a warm undertone I would 100% recommend checking this product out. If you think you have a pinker undertone it defiantly is not going to hurt to go into Sephora and see how the color suits you. For the most part we want our skin to look flawless, but not like we've caked foundation on, that's what this is going to do for you. You're going to get a flawless look that seems like you're bare faced. The format of this foundation is fairly liquidy and a little goes a long way, I find I only have to use about half a pump to cover my whole face. As for application I've been applying it using my 'Real Techniques Expert Face Brush' (http://realtechniques.com/shop-collection/your-base-flawless/expert-face-brush) which has been working fantastic as this brush does with any foundation.

I really hope you found this information helpful and that you were able to learn a little more about this foundation, if you've tried this out please leave a comment down below telling me your thoughts!

PS: I am aware I spelled review wrong in the title image sorry about that

And a little side note (ignore if you choose) I've been MIA for almost two weeks and I feel terrible but my internet was down and I finally have it back so lots more posts are coming your way!
